New AA insurance and van rescue aimed at ‘silent majority’ of craftsmen

Friday, July 7th, 2006

Tax Change May Hike Van Driver’s Wages

Tuesday, July 4th, 2006

The UK’s van drivers and the firms that employ them should prepare now for next year’s tax change on light commercial vehicles, says vehicle management firm LeasePlan.

Drivers who take their vans home for private use face an annual tax charge of £500. From April 2007 that goes up to £3,000, so a base rate taxpayer will see his tax bill rise from around £9 per month to around £55 per month.
