H-1, The New Hyundai Light Commercial Vehicle
The new Hyundai H-1 celebrated its European premiere at the European Road Transport Show 2007. This utility vehicle offers everything a demanding European customer could want in a light commercial vehicle. The spacious and powerful H-1 has a completely new design and boasts a powerful new diesel engine. Thanks to a variety of configurations, the car is extremely versatile. It is extensively equipped and competitively priced in true Hyundai tradition.
The new Hyundai H-1 has the potential to be as successful as its predecessors. With a length of 5,125 mm (+ 90 mm), width of 1,920 mm (+ 100 mm) and wheelbase of 3,200 mm (+ 120 mm), the H-1 can match the established models in its class. Today it is available in three versions, the Panel Van, the Window Van and the Wagon. While the two Van models are aimed at small and medium sized enterprises, the Wagon is mainly attracting families and larger households – while also being used by shuttle services.
The H-1 panel Van comes as a 2-, 3-, 5- and 6-seater version and the Wagon as 8-seater. All models are powered by a new 2.5 litre VGT common-rail diesel engine with variable turbo geometry that delivers 170 bhp (125 kW) at 3800 rpm. Maximum torque is 392 Nm at 2000 rpm. It gives the H-1 a top speed of 181 km/h, while its average fuel consumption is limited to 8.8 litres per 100 km. Another characteristic element of the H-1 is its bold styling with a solid and contemporary design such as the new family grille and larger headlights. It also comes with new optional 16" alloys and conveys a modern and professional attitude. The standard double sliding doors and optional double swinging doors in the back give the H-1 even more bandwidth. The new interior is more spacious, ergonomic and better equipped. It makes customer´s life easier and more comfortable. The dashboard is designed in a more European style and features a dynamic centre console.
