All-New Hyundai H1 Arrives

Hummer dropped their H1 in 2006. The big passenger SUV that was based on the famous military Humvee was deemed to be too environmentally unfriendly for the modern US market. However, another H1 name has been revived here in Ireland.
The all new Hyundai H1 is now available here, marking the brand’s return to this van segment after a seven-year absence. The new Hyundai van certainly looks more sophisticated than its predecessor and according to Hyundai, is better in every measurable respect. It is more spacious, more comfortable and more user friendly. It needs to be all these as the the new H-1 must make its way in a very competitive segment.
The 2.5 litre diesel Hyundai H1, which retails at €17,157 plus vat and related delivery charges comes with a standard specification that includes: driver and passenger airbags, side impact protection beams, 16″ alloy wheels, front fog lights, electronic stability programming (ESP) with anti roll-over protection, full interior bulkhead panel, overhead storage console, and blue tooth compatibility.
Key new exterior features on the H1 van include dual sliding side doors and twin swing rear doors, larger wheels and tyres.
The new H-1 gets 16-inch front disc brakes providing better braking power than the H-1’s 15-inch discs. And for improved handling, it’s fitted with a MacPherson strut front suspension.
The new H-1 gets the Euro-IV compliant 2.5 CRDi engine which delivers 170 bhp and 40kg m of torque. The standard gearbox is a five-speed manual but an automatic should also be available as an option. The easy to use transmission gear shift lever is located on the centre of the dash.
The all-new HI now completes the Hyundai commercial range and joins the top selling Santa Fe Commercial, the Tucson commercial, and the recently arrived Hyundai 3 door Accent Commercial Van.
